MF 135 POWER STEERING

I have a MF 135. see pics for name plate on the tractor. I was told it has "assisted power steering?" Any way, a mechanic told me this. I think it needs some more hydraulic fluid for the assist. I have an owner's manual, but I can not find the location of the fill port. I looked at the front of the tractor for a fluid reservoir, but i don't see a pump at the front of the tractor. does anyone know where you fill the reservoir? thanks, Carr

If it's a three cylinder Perkins engine the 135 steering pump is on the right side of the engine down low. It looks like this. The fill/level plug is on the can. If it's not there, then you "assisted power steering' is your two strong arms.

That's a cover. That hole being covered is where the factory power steering pump would mount. (if it had one)

If it has an aftermarket power steering kit installed, it gets hyd fluid/power from a replacement plate at right front corner of the top of the transmission.

Just exactly what is that? You're claiming this is part of some power steering kit?

Oops, my bad, that is the remote hyd kit. The aftermarket PS kit is a gear-driven pump mounted to the engine.
