Hi,
Yep, that's unfortunate. I don't know the set up of the relief valve as I avoided dealing with it on mine. So I can't offer a better idea than yours. Wait to see if anyone else has a good idea.
Well, I got a gauge set up in line, got everything back together, cranked everything up, and pressure is maxing out around 1350 or so psi, which I'm good with. I could be wrong but in an older machine like that a slightly lower psi seems it would help keep seals and what not from blowing out? Everything seems to work good, going to run with it for now and see what happens. Worse comes to worse if it acts up I take it all apart and adjust.

Yes, you may be good to go now. If you run it a while and the disease pops up again it would probably mean an in-bound airleak somewhere (like an aged hose or one of the pump seals.) Cross that bridge when you get to it.

Now I've managed to wrench an end off of the hose, number 1016977m91. Thinking it wouldn't be a big deal to replace. Boy am I wrong....

You sure you didn't mislocate them hoses you had off?
