MF 1010 4x4

I have a MF 1010. Great little tractor. Recently I was out plowing slow and it kept going slower and slower. . Now I have lost all forward & reverse ability. The hydraulics still work fine for the 3 pt hitch & bucket in front. Any suggestion? I need to airreate a few lawns. & fertilize. Thx Mac

I realize this is an old post , but wondering if someone had a solution
My 1010 recently stopped moving , and pto is not working
I suspect the clutch is worn out

Try it in a lower range. When a clutch slips you usually lose the higher gears first. Check your clutch adjustment. You should have about an inch of free play on the clutch pedal before it begins to disengage.

Ya , I've checked clutch free play and have even tried it with linkage removed to give it maximum engagement but it's slipping badly and won't even turn the pto shaft let alone the hydrostatic transmission in low or high range

Ya time to split and replace the clutch. Have fun. I quit buying tractors with dry clutches decades ago. Dry clutches are the weakest link in any transmission system and the hardest to replace as well.
