Meyer ST80 Plow

I found a good Meyer ST80 which I plan to mount on my FEL. I think I have a good plan which is gleaned from reading all the articles here on TBN I could find. (Thanks guys!)

A couple of questions:

1. I need hydraulic cylinders for the ST80 (mine were missing). What is the size and who has a good deal on same?

2. I want the crossover relief valve on this plow to protect my loader. Anyone got a model number and source for an inexpensive valve?

I have read the information before.....but after a few hours searching....I cannot find it again. Thanks for any suggestions!

I did a ST plow and used cylinders of Ebay. $50 each and work great. Power Fist brand. I think they were 10" but some Meyer plows use 12".

Not sure about the x-valve. I did not get one and dont worry about it. I plow alot and not a single issue in 3 seasons.

Thanks for the info on the cylinders Chris. Idid find some on EBay that seem fair priced. ($54 ea)

I think I will put on a x-over relief valve tho.....some of the trails I will plow could snag the blade corner and that could put allot of force on the loader without the valve. Better safe than sorry.

Also, I plan to slit a 2 1/2" diameter steel tube and put it on the cutting edge.... instead of using skid shoes. I got lots of potential stuff to snag on...so I hope this works as good as I have read. (plus I wont have to buy skid shoes :thumbsup

I just got the steel for the frame. But it's gotta wait for the weather to cool down. phew! :confused2:
