These threads show up on various boards across the web. I didn't find one here in recent pages. Movie Quotes that is, but quotes doesn't start with an 'M'. Yeah, I know, so what.

To start this one off ....

The Green Berets -1968

'Bulldog this is Puff the Magic Dragon, where do you want it?

Put it on the camp. They have it. We don't.

It'll just take a minute '

No Country for Old Men is ripe with quotes. Paraphrasing the Sheriff. "If it's not a mess, it'll have to do til one gets here".

And of course Anton Chigurs many interesting comments. Call it!

Like Woody Harrelson's reply when asked how dangerous Chigur was and he said ..."compared to what...the bubonic plague" ?

Not sure if he did get his parking ticket validated.

Remember, don't be foolish. You use the one right tool for the job. And what a tool!

One of my favorites. I often think this line when my boss asks me to do something I'd prefer not do.

2001: A Space Odyssey - 1968

HAL: I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

Another film, I must get in Digital Format as My VHS tape copy of that broke. Clint Eastwood in Heartbreak Ridge. A classic with typical Eastwood Verbiage.

Well, Rat Spit!

The best movies in my opinion were all those that would not pass the PC correctness tests today. Clint in Gran Torino, for instance.

And BTW, "Get Off My Lawn"

I find it sad that younger people, like even my ten year younger lady friend has no interest in classic movies. It's all about the latest.

Having said that. I remember my Mom talking about her favorite film stars like Betty Davis, and I couldn't then or now be less interested.

Well Mr. Carpet bagger round here, we got something known as a Missouri boat ride

Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining.

To **** with those fellas. Buzzards gotta eat, same as worms

He never turned his back on his folks or his kind.

"What we've got here...is failure to communicate."
- CAPTAIN (Strother Martin) in Cool Hand Luke

And another from Josey:

"A man's gotta do something for a living these days." Wales cleverly retorts, "Dyin' ain't much of a living, boy,"

This from Unforgiven - requires a little more thought:

The Schofield Kid tries to make himself feel better:
"Well I guess he had it coming."
William Munny replied:
"We all have it coming, kid."

A scene from one of the Blackadder series where Blackadder fires his manservant Baldrick:
Baldrick (Tony Robinson). But Sire, the Baldricks have been in the Blackadder family for generations.
Blackadder (Rowan Atkinson). So has syphilis.

When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk!

(that line gets repeated around my house almost daily whenever someone hesitates or misses out on something)
