Comparison Mechron Features-True 4X4

   / Mechron Features-True 4X4 #11
Thanks for the input. In a way-I should wait for the Farm Expo in Feb 2011 and compare them all and then cut a deal. On the other hand..I'd really like to have an UV on the place to help with the chores and landscaping tasks later this year.. There is a Honda dealer 2 hours from me. The Kioti dealer is 4.5 hours away.. other brands probably 5 or so.. Makes it hard to shop deals and get service

The Honda also has true 2wd, not sure how many others have this. I wouldn't buy one unless it did. UTVs are much heavier than ATVs. Turning on the lawn will dig it up real quick. I think the payload in the bed for the Kioti is twice what the Honda will handle. I think Honda decided to go light to avoid having stiff springs in the rear. I was looking for the odd job or two. I think it would be fine around the farm but I could see the need to have something that could handle more would be a good idea.

Not all the Honda dealers have them. I had to go out of state to find a dealer. It was no big deal for me but I could see it being a problem for others. I bought a dealer demo for under $7k that was also a plus.

Buying a Side-By-Side today is not an easy decision. If I were to buy a Mechron just because I have and like the Kioti Tractor that I have-then that would be a blind choice. I'm not that loyal or convinced yet.

Some thoughts and please don't shoot me-I'm a noobie UTV wannabe..

The Mule-Don't think I want the air cooled engine-not in the hot desert climate.

Furthermore; in general, if I will run gas-then I'll need Fuel Injection please..

The Yamaha Rhino? I don't race...

The Polaris/Bobcat? Not convinced that they have the reliability nor thrilled about buying NOTB products in general.
Why is the Bobcat version so slow compared the the Rangers?
The full blown Ranger Xt looks good I'll admit.

Honda-Hard to run oil changes-low-heavy-light payload...but cool in it's own way. Would certainly consider a Foreman if I were shopping an ATV..

Deere--I am really liking the new 50 HP Deere UTV. The looks are huge and mean. Like it! The new improvements seem to address all of the areas where Polaris kicked their butts bad in a shootout that was on the Polaris web site last year. Speed-suspension-payload-stopping distance. Deere stepped it up big time. Nice. Gas or Diesel too.

Deere's new cargo bed is genius. Turns into a flatbed too-which would be cool if you were hauling rock/stone/sod-dead critters, bails of weed (kidding)...

Kubota-Nice-original-too many issues/problems at the prices they are charging for my wallet.

Kioti-Nice big diesel engine..hauls a bunch..looks OK... maybe a value-but a brand new design and unproven and heck-not even really available. Performance unknown. Just rumored to be a cool UTV. Fingers crossed.

Note to Kioti Marketing. You are very lax in promoting your product. Lame actually. You have banner ads for the Mechron that link to nothing to do with the Mechron. No Mechron data to be seen. Shame on you. You can not interest people and hold their interest this way. Tis the most foolish waste and dumbest scheme that I can imagine a top-notch marketing group doing. Furthermore-the Kioti website is sorely outdated...

The "New Products" section features a product released in 2008. It takes a webmaster aproximately 10 minutes to update a page. Why is Kioti marketing so blantantly ignorant like this? This does not make me feel like the company is together. Please fix all of that.. Rant Off..

Ditto on Kioti marketing. I held off for quite sometime in order to take a look. Gave up in Jan. and bought a Kubota-no regrets.

I could not AGREE MORE about how Kioti markets there products. While I think Kioti makes a fine product there marketing efforts hurt them and there local dealers.Sad IMHO.coobie

Give me a break!

If you guys want to pay a premium for pretty advertising, TV commercials and flashy websites then go buy a JD or Kubota. My money goes to the best product not the best advertiser. Large advertisement budgets come with large retail prices too!

I bet you use Geico insurance and base all your decisions on what the TV told you too.

No geico insurance here, just call them as I see them.I am not brand loyal as you can see in my signature.coobie

This isn't really a marketing failure. As I understand it the delay and lack of promotion relate to a production delay that is really out of Kioti's hands. The manufacturer of a critical component (? Tranny) went belly up and they had to delay introduction.

One day I just want to see one.....:(

Sadly-You've totally missed the point.

Not a very nice comment considering that you missed the point altogether.

However: I'll dumb it down a bit further to make the point clearer for you:

Kioti did pay for advertising-and the ad was plenty fancy and all of that. There is a banner ad on this site that becons you to click it for more info about the new Mechron. When you do click it-it takes you to the main Kioti website; which has zero info on the Mechron-and futhermore-is outdated by three years.

They wasted money and lots of folks' time with this not-so-cool marketing ploy.

In general:

Anyways... how might it standup to the new Deere. That is the question I have at the moment..
