Comparison Mechron Features-True 4X4

/ Mechron Features-True 4X4 #21
Kioti did pay for advertising-and the ad was plenty fancy and all of that. There is a banner ad on this site that becons you to click it for more info about the new Mechron. When you do click it-it takes you to the main Kioti website; which has zero info on the Mechron-and futhermore-is outdated by three years.
Now that you've "dumbed it down" maybe you can understand it. This "Pre-Marketing" is very common, you get some small advertising banners, posters, brochures, etc... out in the public before the product is even ready to generate interest. The delay in release is obviously related to some production changes or problems so final specs are not ready for general public. That does not mean they cannot at least let the public know about the upcoming product before the final information is released. This delay was most likely not in their control, I highly doubt they want to make consumers wait 2-3 years before getting the final product.

I would rather wait and get the best product then rush and get a lemon like the first model year of just about every model of car/truck made or something like a Kubota RTV...

So we should wait for the Mechron to be released, let those early adopters work out the bugs; and then buy one the second year after the "first Year" bugs have been worked out?

I was thinking along those lines too. Even the Kioti Mechron could be a first year lemon for all we know. Since the transmission is the heart of one of these machines, I hope they replaced with one equally as good or better.

I noticed that my local new holland dealer has a camo RTV, UTV, SxS, (whatever you wanna call it) Seems everyone is getting into the RTV market.

The latest, greatest boy toy. How did we ever live without them?

The urge has not struck me yet but I'm sure it would if I lived on a ranch or bigger piece of property. Tractor and SUV plus three trailers are adequate for my needs (now).

I can't live without one now, lol. I use to use an old 3 wheeler or just carry things back and forth between my shop and house. Now I only use the UTV. Even while building a garage I just put all the tools in the bed and park it in the shed to protect them from rain. That way I know when I drive it back up to the garage all the tools I was using will be back where I need them. Plus I figure it'll save me loads of hours that would have been going on the new tractor.

Dealers-Any word on the Arrival in the USA of the legendardy Mechron?

Deere launched the new XUV website July 14th and you can "build one" and place an order.

I think the Deere Diesel XUV is the main competition for the Mechron and is way ahead in the process of having a machine and all of the accessories ready to roll as of now. Realistically-you would probably get your Deere XUVD sometime in Sept/October.

Big question remains: What & When will Kioti have to show and which accessories are ready to roll with it? lastly-where will the value fall? The Deere is not inexpensive. Hope the Kioti at least has some practical pricing.

So Dealers-How about an Update please??

better run to Costco and get a case of Popcorn coobie :(

Just heard there is another major delay on the Mechrons..more factory re-work stuff..and no definate on-dock time.

Dang it...

Now the new Polaris Diesel Ranger just came out. Great videos (2) on the Polaris site..one comparing performance with an RV900.

So Now it looks like Ranger Diesel VS Deere Diesel for real ready-to-buy machines and the Mechron at some time in the near-ish future-TBD.

With all these 'delays', anyone who buys one of these before they've been out for 2 years is taking a big risk.

That makes no sense. I would much rather buy something that is being reworked and delayed as they fix any problems or bugs that they find rather than buy something that was rushed into the market just to let the consumer find the problem. Toyota's long list of recalls comes to mind...

I'm inclined to agree with Forester2. First year purchases of new or significantly modified vehicles are always a bit risky and not for the type who always buys an Accord or Camry because they don't like surprises. It is well and good that Kioti is delaying introduction but it is still a new class of vehicle for them and there will be inevitable teething pains. Same probably true for the new diesel Polaris though they certainly have the vehicle itself pretty well figured out.

I presume Kioti pricing will reflect their late entry and therefore will make it worth someone taking a slight risk on new model hassles. I'm sure it will be improved over the first couple of model years just as most machines/vehicles are regardless of who made them.

So does the hard shifting problem on my 2006 Kubota RTV 900 that was out for 2 years.I think recently in model year 2008-2009 they finally fixed the problem.coobie

I too agree that first year production models can be risky but to say that something is MORE of a risk because of a delay in release just doesn't make sense to me.

I agree with that. It sounds like the marketing guys were just a bit too aggressive building up to the release and didn't give the engineers and production guys time to have the product fully ready for market. Looks like they took a page from the Chevy Volt and other vapor ware electric vehicles to get potential buyers hooked (and therefore delay purchases of competitor's existing products).

The Mechron was available in other markets before this year. This won't exactly be a "first" production year.

We wait in joy-filled hope......

Hi guys I'm in Australia and it seems we have a first as I think we have had the Kioti here for about six months. I am considering the Mechron 2200 or the Polaris 800, and the Kioti is about $5000 cheaper than the Polaris. Not much info on the brochure down here though.

$5000 ?
Even if you are talking AUD, that's still $4815 US Dollars. That's a huge difference when talking about something that is less than $12k to begin with.

/ Mechron Features-True 4X4 #40
The 800 is about $21000 retail, plus screen and roof so about $23000.
The Kioti is $20000 with screen, the salesman gave me the original price without GST on the Kioti so about $3000 difference at retail not $5000. Don't tease with the price you pay in the US. The word over here is that they are a very close copy of the Ranger.
