What if any connections are different bewtween an old mechanical voltage regulator and a solid state voltage regulator. The terminal markings are the same. F/2/3/4. Trying to hunt down a charging issue and it points to the regulator. My service manual shows using only the F (field) and terminal 3. Help is appreciated.
