Measuring for box blade

I run a 60" on my CK2610 and have yet to run into a situation where it's been a problem; however, I had the blade when I purchased the tractor. If I were buying new I'd probably opt for a 72 inch, but if the price is right I don't think you'd regret the 5' box.

Don't over think this. Buy a box blade that will cover your tires. Your tractor is capable to do the work.

I got a lead on a 60” Frontier BB5060, for under $501 without rippers, or a 60” Heavy duty atlas with rippers for 600$. 66” doesn’t seem to common in the used market. Not for those prices atleast.

Ideally 66" would be good, but go as heavy as you can find in any case. I believe ditching or changing the angle of the cut easily kind of requires covering your tracks? I've got a 7' on a 6' wide tractor which is all I've ever used, and it never seems to wide when moving dirt. Ditching is easy with it too by just tilting it couple inches low on one side and take a few slices on each side until the tractor feels tippy.

What did you end up getting? Your tractor will easily handle a 6' box blade BTW.

I have a 6' box blade and have used it on a kubota b8200 (19hp) no it wont drag all the scarifiers at full depth or drag a full box in my packed stone driveway. But it did work decent enough that when that 19hp tractor was my old tractor for a few years i didnt want to get a smaller one. I now use it behind a tc40 with no issues.
