Hi guy's this forum is great.I am hopefully going to but a BX23,But I need to know the measurement of the widest part of the machine. It look's the stabilizers for the backhoe might be the widest part.My backyard where most of the work is to be done is fenced in with chain link, It has 2- 48 inch gates 1 on one side of yard 1 on the other side.So will it fit through or do I need to open part of the fence.Sorry for so many ??.Rob. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I just measured the width of the BX23 stabilizers at a dealer Friday. I don't recall the exact measurement, but it was over 48". I believe 54". They were also strapped up, so they may not retract quite as much when the straps are removed. Also, you are pushing your luck on the wheel width. It isn't much under 48", so it will be a tight squeeze.

On my BX23, the stabilizer feet folded down are 53" wide, folded up are 50" wide.

Nah, I don't see why he'd need to do that. Just put the trans in low and drive through real slow. Those wood fence posts will spread out no problem. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

edit - DOH! never mind, I missed the "chain link" part.
