Max 28 Mower

I have the 60” mower for my Max 28 tractor. I was mowing some heavy tall grass and the grass got wrapped around the driveshaft and released it. Needless to say it bent the one end of the shaft and broke the universal bearing on the mower gearbox end. I looked up the parts on the Mahindra site and it was $250.! Seems a little steep for that. Any alternatives?
