It mite be overkill but sure is nice to have the power & the nice things that the 3000 tractors have. I just got thur cutting the grass. Mine goes up & down the slopes so easy with the differ. lock. I have put on some extra weight no problem with the seat on this one. I really like mine a lot 3235 54".

i agree, i have a very steep slope across 70 feet of the front of my property. the 2500 series tractor i drove struggled with it, the 3200 handles with no problems, even without engaging the diff lock. that was my justification for getting the 3200. that and the fact that i hope it holds up for 20 years. if that happens, i would feel that it was a great purchase.

i think the total weight with deck is about 1100 lbs. it will mow all over the steep hill on the front of my property even when the grass is 5-6 inches high.more than i need, but i love it. i hope to sell this place and get 25-50 acres if we can ever find any in the right spot and affordable. then i will have an excuse to get a CUT. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
