Massey 220-4 engine

I have a Massey Ferguson 220-4. 26 hp, 2 cyl. diesel toyosha 148-S engine. Has head and crank problems. Does anyone know where to find parts, or a different used engine?
Is there another 2 or 3 cylinder diesel engine that will bolt in its place. Thanks for help.

You are going to have a hard time finding parts I'm afraid.....REALLY doubt the MF dealers are going to be any help and the Hinomoto parts suppliers probably arent going to be much better on a head or crank but that's where I'd start. You could research Hinomoto and Allis Chalmers models and see if any used an S148 and look for some donor parts. Engine swap would likely be pretty difficult if you go outside that engine family but anything is possible with time and money.....

The Allis Chalmers 5030 used the S148 engine, the 5020 used the S126 according to my owners manual,,, dont know how plentiful the needed parts will be, shame decent machines just hard to come by the parts.
