I am looking at ordering a Markham toothbar for my B7610 with LA352 FEL. Should I get the standard 5 tooth bar or go with the extra tooth? Any pros/cons? I am going to be using the FEL to break up some pretty compacted rocky soil and then to rip up my broken up pavement driveway. I got a quote of $259 + $42 shipping from Markham. Is this in the ballpark to what others have paid?

The limiting factor will be the structural strength of the LA352 Loader. It wasn't designed to be crammed into hard soil. That and the limitations of the tractor's power and traction would have me considering the standard 5 tooth bar over additional teeth. That 5 tooth bar should slip into the soil with enough ease to preclude damaging the loader arms. Your price quote is good for the quality of their toothbar. I've considered one many times and like you thought about additional teeth, but I think the standard bar would be better. I may one day order one and Markham will be my first consideration.
My recommendations are from best guess and not from actual experience. This is one of those "I think I know what I'm talking about, but could be wrong. In other words, it's only an opinion.

I have the 5 tooth bar and your price looks pretty good. I would assume the more teeth you have the better it will work in hard compacted soil. I live in an area with a-lot of clay. I find if i'm going to be moving or digging I need to wait until it rains just to let the soil soften up, and that's with the toothbar!

Thanks for the info. I guess that I will order the standard 5 tooth bar later today. I thought that some were saying the price was $160 plus shipping but maybe that was for a smaller bucket. I will post some pics when I get it installed

I have a BX2350, and I swear I paid about what you're paying. That price of $160 seems much lower than I remember.

I didn't get the extra tooth, and can't imagine it working better than it does. That being said, my bucket is only a 4 footer... not sure how many teeth it comes with off the top of my head.

I just paid 374.00 total including the shipping for my 6 foot bar. Great attachment, very good quality. I don't think I'll ever tear it up.

I have a BX2350 with a standard 48" bucket. Last fall I thought for a while about five or six teeth for a new Markham tooth bar. Melissa Markham suggested that five is gracious plenty for that width bucket and she was right on. That tooth bar is one of the most useful accessories I've purchased. I can't imagine now not having one. And this Markham unit is so overbuilt for the BX-series, I figure something else will give before the tooth bar ever will.

Thanks for the input. I just got back home so now I guess I should measure the bucket and get one ordered.

I added a tooth between every tooth (9 teeth in total I think)

Worked great for back raking.

Sure is heavy though.
