I HAVE A CYPRESS SIDING HOUSE AND IM GETTING READY TO STAIN IT AGAIN.I USED CEDARTONE PUT OUT BY FLOODS STAIN THE LAST TIME I DONE IT.I BOUGHT THE SAME PRODUCT AGAIN BUT HAVE DECIDED I WOULD LIKE TO GO A LITTLE DARKER.WHAT CAN I ADD TO THE STAIN TO MAKE IT DARKER.THANKS

The second coat of any stain will be darker then the first. I would test the second coat and see if its what you want. The other option is just buying a darker shade of the stain you have and mixing in a little at a time, testing it and adding more until you get the desired color. Be sure to measure what you add so you can repeat it.

I have a cedar home - PanAbode - and the cedar semi-translucent oil stain is not very dark. Next time I do the outside I will get something like walnut or the like.

Go to a quality paint store (not a box store) ...they have pigment for oil and water based stains...
A skilled paint tech can make custom stains to match just about anything...I used to deal with a Sherwin Williams store with very good results...
