Kevin most loaders i run in the construction business have nine teeth some times 11. It depends on the type of teeth you want to build to what shank you want. I have a freind that has a an older Ford with a Bush Hog loader. It has teth that bolt to the bucket and have an offset bent in them to stick down past the cutting edge but remain paraleel to the bucket. I His newer tractor had a thick edge so I made him some straight teeth out of T1 steel and then mde the mounting plte and cutting edge out of another 3.5 inch by 5 foot pice of T1 that I drilled to match his bucket. before I welded the teeth to the bucket I heat treated them with my forge and then quenched them in oil. Later used a 7018 to weld them on. It atks about 15 minutes to remove the tooth bar unlike the quick attach ones but he's never taken these off yet. Its kinda hard to explain on here how I made these I didnt get any pics while making it.
