I've had this mower for a little over 2 years...I find myself using my Massey Fergurson tractor more....the major problem is the beer holder is on the same side as the discharge chute...I get grass clippings/dust in my beer....on the Massey it's on the opposite side! Don't these CC engineers know that we would like nice cold beverages w/out dust/grass on the top :D Other than that, it's be a fine machine!

The cup holder on the Cub is technically a cup dispenser. You're supposed to leave a stack of cups in there upside. As you are mowing, you remove one cup and dispense beer into it from the refrigerated keg* that you are towing behind you.

*Refrigerated keg sold separately; Available at select dealers only; Some assembly required; Warning: drunken men should not mow their lawn with an open-top cup - a child's "sippy" cup should be used instead to avoid environmental contamination and wasted beer.

I use cans so I can recycle!
I use cans also but the dust & clippings still get into the can. Obviously the engineer(s) never thought about the advantage of placing it on the opposite fender.

A pony keg on a rear mounted bracket seems to be the best answer. Those suitcase weights and their bracket are a big waste of $$

Bwaahhaaa!! Funny thing is, I've actually found the "missing" sippees placed ever so nicely in the cup holder on my 2544. Unfortunately my 2 and 4yr/old boys can't stay away from any tractor, mower, etc... (not so different from us :)). The cup holder is useless for me though. My terrain is so rough you'd have no liquid left.

***That's why I use the fountain drink cups with lids and straws found at places like speedway 7 eleven and go mart.
The Go Mart 20 ounce plastic glasses with the clear lids are really nice for this.:) ;) :) :D

YOU GUYS DISAPPOINT ME. YOU NEED THE HARD HAT, WITH THE BEER HOLDERS MOUNTED ON EACH SIDE RUNNING DOWN A COMMON TUBE TO SIP ON, LIKE WE USE DOWN SOUTH AT MARDI GRAS PARADES. LOL:D :D :p :p
