Maintenance Costs

Today I stopped at two dealerships and stocked up on fluids and filters for upcoming maintenance on both a Ford 1210 and a Kubota B7500. Oil and hydraulic filters for both, plus a fuel filter for the Ford. The Ford fluid is their "134" and the Kubota fluid is Super UDT. Total cost was $92.24 for the Ford stuff and $91.87 for the 'Bota. The Ford "134" was $42.94 a gallon, and the Super UDT was $64, but the Ford hydraulic filters were a lot more (over $40 vs. $15).................chim

I sure hope that's for 5 gal. Even at that, I'm sure you can find that stuff at an auto parts house a lot cheaper.

try Filter One, Wix filters for about 1/2 the price of NAPA and 1/3 of the dealer.

I'll have to check them out next time. Do they make hydro filters? Sounds promising for the old Ford.

For the Kubota I don't mind spending a few extra bucks to use Kubota filters and fluids because of warranty concerns. It's worth $40 a year to eliminate the "sorry, you used an inferior filter" argument.............chim

Yep, get mine from my auto parts place. You can cross the numbers here Wix or I can check my numbers at home. Hydraulic filter is #51736.

You should be able to get a warranty statement from Wix that they are factory or above specs. Wix also makes Napa and Carquest filters.
The Wix filters are approved for Cummins, Cat, and Detroit diesel engines. I sure would think the major tractor brands would also be covered.
