Main Index slow loading

Is anyone else experiencing slow loading of the main index page? All of the forum index pages and individual threads load just fine but the main index page sort of "hangs" for a while (the IE loading bar on the lower right stalls) before it finally loads.)

I did when I first got onto TBN, but it seems faster now. Not as fast as usual, though.

How many unread messages do you have? If you have thousands unread, you should mark them as read... less database searching time.

You're right - we should do that regularly after we've checked the areas that interest us.

I used to be able to look at almost every thread but this darn day job I've got and the explosion of posts on TBN is forcing me to be more selective and not read every thread. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I'll zero things out and go from there.
