Mahindra emax 22 warning light, need help

If i sit in the seat and start tractor as normal no flashing lights.period

If i sit in the seat with brake on, key on (not running) and get out for something and get back in the seat (which closes the seat switch) the warning light flashes and then goes away once running.

No running or performance issues at all

Seems to me to be a warning that the safety start cycle was interupted.


No one seems to have ever had this problem.


Any thoughts

I've had the mil light flash during start up. Never really worried much about it though. Always goes out after start up.

Jokes aside. Looks like it's throwing some sort of code. Do you have any manuals of the tractor?

Manual shows nothing.

Tech at a Mahindra dealer over the phone never heard of the flashing light series I have.

I have fixed every piece of equipment I have ever owned and really don’t want to Take my computer with a loader and backhoe on it to the dealer.

No trailer, distance and down time...

Well I tried the same on my e-max and did not get the flashing light.

Update

I spoke to the dealer today after connected to the computer the code 34 showed as indicated by the flashing light. 126 times it was recorded.

It is a fail to start code of some sort. ECU was reflashed which upgraded the glow plug cycle time and temp settings.
Cleared all codes and it happened again

After a few hrs of tracing wires they found a harness that was worn through causing the problem.

I am glad they found it and confirmed the problem.:thumbsup: it is in the same area as the hose that was rubbing on the frame.
I will update you guys again once I pick it up.

OK guys I got the tractor back yesterday. There was a piece of harness in the seat and tail light harness underneath the middle of the hydro pedals that was worn through. It wasn稚 enough to cause of short but enough to give feedback to the ECU and make the check engine light to flash a code 34.

Once that was repaired and fixed and upgraded to prevent it from happening again the computer was also re-flashed with the new updated glow plug timing and temperature settings.
The glow plug upgrade would allow you to use a block heater. However with the new Settings it痴 not necessary.

I use Bethany tractor in Bethany Connecticut also known as Johnson auto who advertises here on this forum. It痴 a small family run dealership and they have excellent service and a real good guys.

Electrical gremlins are very time consuming and then they could致e taken me to the cleaners and they were very fair and reasonable when I went to pick up the tractor. Jeff and Scott are brothers who own and operate the dealership

Hey did u happen to need a frame replacement on your tractor?? I ended up buying a pretty nice used machine from them and would just like more history as im told mine was a buyback and that it was repaired, but there is a few small kinks im looking to figure out without paying too much in diag fees and repairs.
