Brandi, I made the bracket that will hold 16 Mahindra weights sideways. I got the original 8 front weights with the tractor. Back then the front bumper and rear wheel weights came with the tractor at no additional cost. Now I had to scream and yell to get them, but I did indeed get a complete set of tractor weights for no additional charge. I should have yelled about the locking gas cap and the horn too. Back then all that stuff was supposed to be included with the purchase of the tractor. I actually think that the only OEM tractor option there was when the 7520's first came out was the 3rd rear remote. seems like the next year is when they started making the accessories optional items.
Anyway, I figured that the 8 front weights worked so good that it would be even better with 16. I was able to purchase a second set of weights in the crate from Dave at Dave's tractor. Messed up when I made the bracket though and it is really tough to get 8 weights on each side, so to keep it simple I just use 7.
The price you got at a dollar a pound is not a bad price, cast iron is expensive. 900 pounds would be a lot of weight up front, I know that the Mahindra weights do not weigh that much. When you load your tires, you won't believe the difference that it makes.
You don't take your hoe off very often do you? Are you going to start doing work for others?
Just wondering :confused3:
That is an awesome mount Brian. I will do that if and when. A custom mount can me made to fit any weights.
Right now I take the BH off once in the spring and once in the fall to hook up the brush hog to mow everything my zero turn mower can't. Like over the edges of my gully.
I do want to start doing work for others. I bought a 2003 Dodge dually (at wholesale price
