Mahindra ads

I am using Firefox 2.0.0.1 and the Mahindra ads don't work. The mouse pointer changes when you hover over them but when you click nothing happens.

I only see 1 Mahindra ad on TBN currently.

I use Firefox 2.0.0.1 as my browser.

The Mahindra ad that I found on TBN plays a short movie clip of a farmer using his Mahindra in a very unsafe manner. He is driving around with his loader raised up. He is driving around with the loader raised up with a large round bale elevated . . . all of his operation is done with the ROPS bar folded in the down position

and he talks about learning life lessons on the farm (I guess they don't include safety?) and doing things for his kids (I guess that doesn't include trying to stay alive?)

Who at Mahindra let all that slip by?

Seriously, that movie clip is flawed badly!

They all work for me using IE7.

Tim, I believe FF is automatically set to prevent things like that from working, i assume when you click on it then it opens a pop-up window, if so, its probable that FF is blocking this.

I'm on FF too, and I dont have any Ads atall.

I get no ads what so ever with FireFox.

The video is in the middle of the HOME page of TBN. You click on the upper right hand corner of the video screen (when using FF) to start the video. Not sure if it works the same way with other browsers like Safari, IE, etc.

I'm not talking about the movie ad on the front page, I can view that fine. I am talking about the side banners that show up, life on a farm etc....

It isn't a pop up issue, it is something with the way the ad is created. Maybe active X or something?

ok when I hovered over the ad and right clicked it said it was adobe flash 9. I have adobe installed and it works on other pages, so I wonder if it is a funky control in the flash object or something?

Tim, are you running the most current version of Flash?

Honestly I don't see any of the ads you are talking about other than the movie on the home page. I'm using the same version of FF that you have, but I have my preferences set so it eliminates most of the ads on most websites so I'm not sure which advertisements you are having problems with because I simply don't see them.

I use FF 2.0.0.1 and I also use Flashblock. Attached is a picture of what I see when I allow Flash on TBN. If I prevent it, I see a right facing triangle I can click on to see the Flash movie.

I see the ad, it just isn't clickable. Strange. My mouse cursor changes and everything but it just doesn't take me anywhere. Other ads on the site like Kioti for example open a pop up or a different tab. The mahindra ads just don't take me anywhere (Except for the movie that is). I have flash 9 apparently.

okay I just tried loading this in IE and it wouldn't even load the page without an error. Some control object.....

I checked and I have the latest flash, and I reinstalled it just to make sure. Interesting part is after it loads in IE the ad does work.

Tim, just another thought, but sometimes FF gets a little bit finicky. I find that I have to occasionally "Quit" Firefox and restart it. It works better after I restart the program, this seems to be a particular issue if I have it running for several days in a row (I almost never shut off my computer).

Well now I know why I wasn't seeing the ad, I have hardly ever gone to that page!

I also run FireFox Ver. 1.5.0.9 and could not play the ad until I updated Flash player to Ver. 9,0,28,0. After the up-date was installed and FireFox restarted the video played fine.
