There was some interest in this setup. The outside width is about 84".

Been considering doing this to my cab tractor. What is the difficulty level of flipping the tires? Other than a heavy duty hydraulic jack, any special equipment needed?

Just don't dismount the center (if you can avoid it). The lug nuts are special items on the cast centers and if you do remove the centers from the axle flanges be sure to relieve all the weight with a shop crane before starting the nuts back on as the like to cross thread easily. Because of what I do, I keep my wheels in the innermost position all the time. No need to space them out.

The cast centers are very heavy (around 350 pounds each) so don't assume you can unbolt and lift off manually. Not gonna happen. Same with the rims with the tires mounted, very heavy even not loaded. Loaded, they are stupid heavy and must be kept vertical at all times. If one gets away from you and starts to fall, get away quick as it will crush your foot or break your leg on the way down,

I see you live in my neck of the woods. I use Spec Tire (treadmill) (out of Dundee, Michigan) for my tire work. Treadmill is owned by Spec Tire in Bowling Green, Ohio and make farm calls.

I have them do the mounts, dismounts and replacements always. My dealer (Carlton Farm Supply) uses Spec / treadmill as well.

They do all my tires, car, truck and tractors.

Yeah, I knew about the centers and really the size and weight of the tires and rims is what's kept me from attempting it already. I'm a little over an hour northwest of you (Howell area) so I'm not sure Spec Tire would be an option for me. I'll definitely check locally to find someone since you've convinced me to leave it to the professionals. Thanks.

They may. I remember hearing them talking about doing tractor tire service in the Lansing area. Amazing how fast they do it but they have the right tools and a truck mounted remote control Jib crane. Had them do 2 rears for me last spring, suck out the CACL, dismount, replace the tubes with new tubes (I despise CACL, in fact I don't like loaded anything, don't need it) and remount both tires. Took one guy about an hour complete, start to finish. They are a Titan and Firestone dealer too and I get all my car and truck tires there. Always busy it seems like. I have to make an appointment in advance but I've heard if you have an issue in the field, they will come right out.

Lenawee Tire does it as well but I've never dealt with them. Speck came highly recommended and I'm very happy with them.

Be nice if Kubota had power adjust rims like my old Massey had. No need to dismount anything, just loosen the clamps, block the tire and rim and adjust it.

Blackdog,
I had mine done by the dealer at the time of purchase so no idea on the difficulty. My wheels are also filled so there's no way I would have attempted to reconfigure on my own. Too heavy and not worth getting seriously injured or damaging something over.

I'm satisfied with the width as it feels stable on hills I need to mow. It has never felt light in the rear with this setup either. It's a beast in this setup.

One note - I wish I had added the creeper gears to be slow enough to use my 7' King cutter tiller. 1-low is too fast to till slowly enough.

Both my Kubby's have the creep speed option. Very handy when planting test plots of corn.

The offset on your rear tires looks exactly like what I have on my M6040. Except I have ag rims. I was going to move the tires in one notch. Then I got to checking the weight of the rimguard + tire + rim. They are perfectly OK the way they are.

thanks for the pictures Herky.
I was hoping to get to this task later this week but have wood to do now so.... maybe next week!! However, i think the rims can only go 'one way' due to the raised spot on the tabs on the rims, so these will end up on the 'outside' of the cast disk, not inside like yours, making them about 4" wider overall from yours. ( that could make it wider than my 84" bucket...) I'd like to get a rim apart and see if this is indeed the case.....
