Many thanks to CHDinCT for posting that original 2014 photo of the M59 vs the L45. Since then there has been some discussion of how the M59 looks next to a full size backhoe, so here is ours in the same sort of shot for comparing them. I'll repost CHDinCT's original photo again just so we have them all in the same place, too.

I'm showing the Kubota M59 vs a JD310SG typical full size backhoe used the world over. Since the JD310 has a cab, 50% more HP, and roughly twice the total weight & twice the lifting capacity of the M59, I was surprised at how close they look to being the same size - although any metal part you want to compare is much beefier on the JD310. The JD also has power seat, ride control, AC, heat, radio...and the list goes on and on...
Still, the Kubota is the more accurate machine and we use it much more often.

Although I think a lot of the Kubota TLB's, price per pound / features is not their strongest point.
