I recently bought a M105X tractor with a FEL. Man is this a nice tractor.
I looked at 4 other colors of tractors before I made my decision.
I do have a few questions.
1. I read where someone on this site hooked up a buzzer to the parking brake. I was curious how they did it. Is it just hooked to the light sensor switch or is it also connected to a shuttle switch so it only buzzess when the park brake is on and in gear? I am afraid somebody will move the tractor with the brake on and mess something up.
2. I am installing a hydraulic diverter to run my grapple. The dealer threw this in to sweeten the deal. If I would of read here first I would of probably installed a electric spool valve so I could run everthing at once. I am looking for pictures of how you routed the hoses. With the fassee valve they sent me it is mounted on the inside of the top loader arm near the rear where you hook and unhook loader from tractor. (not the self leveling arm but below it.) I find you don't have much space between the hood and connections with this mounted there. I cannot open the hood with the loader down. It also looks as if it will be hard to feed the hoses through the metal hoop that is welded to the frame when dismounting and mounting loader. Thinking of putting valve on outside frame of loader but not sure if I would damage the hoses or not. Any advice from somebody who has done this is appreciated.
3. The loader when I take it off and put it back on does not line up straight. I am on the cement with the bucket on. when I drive into the loader the right side lines up perfect. the left side at the bottom lines up perfect. The left side at the top when I move the loader lever to rotate the top back so the pins will line up hits the pin bushing on the tractor mounted frame (left side of tractor but right side of bushing) on the flat piece (back portion of loader the slips on both sides of bushing on tractor) that is supposed to slip past the bushing to line up the hole for retaining pin. I have to get someone to help me with a prybar to push the frame over. I think if the bushing wasn't flat but had weld to make a ramp for the frame to slide to the right it would slip back by itself but I am looking for advice before I start modifying myself since the tractor only has 50 hrs on it. It is almost like the something is not straight up and down since the right side is perfect. I haven't told dealer but will be doing that this week if there is not a simple solution.
4. This is my biggest pet peave of the tractor. The lights. With the FEL on the front lights are worthless. You have to drive down the road with your loader high or turn on your worklights and blind everyone. The flashers are behind the side mirrors so if at night you look at your mirrors all you see are your flashing lights. I had a friend suggest to paint the front lens of the lights black so it wouldn't show in mirror. Then run a wire on each side to the mirrors and mount a flashing light on the front side of the mirrors like the CaseIh combines have. Anyone done anything with the flashing lights or have any great ideas?
5. No horn I guess I can live without this.
I sure would like to spend about an hour with the engineers since most of my dislikes are very easily fixed. Other than that I am majorly impressed with the tractor so far.
Thanks
Tom
