LX178 Electrical System-Charging

OK I fixed my charging system today, it was a dirty plug/connection. I went through all of them unplugging and spraying with a spray lube. Nothing helped but when I got to the plugs on the back side of the key switch, I did the same procedure. The charging light is now off and the voltage to the battery if 13.7--ish, instead of 12.61. If you have charging issues check these connections.

I think this is fairly common, I have an LX188 and the 6 pin connector has a bad connection.
It had an aftermarket VR with the longer set or wires.
The pin from 1 of the stator wires was totally welded to the nylon connector.
JD sells a kit # AM108848. Amazon gas a good photo. It comes with 2 extra connectors, but it costs ~$25.

BTW a new wiring harness from JD is about $300...
