I have a 2015 John Deere 2025R . I’m having problems greasing the front end of the main drive shaft? I can see no way to do it. Any solutions ? Thanks

It sure looks like there is and they show the location in the manual . But the angle is the problem. Thanks for replying

Use a mini needle grease gun with a rigid tube (not a flexible hose), and a squeeze grip lever. Much easier to press the needle on the zerk than to try and get a fitting over the zerk in the u-joint

That's how I do my 2320. Gets easier with practice.

I cannot even see my front Ujoint on the 2016 2025R. Cannot get grease into even the rear one because they put in a 45 degree zerk. Think I'll eventually try unscrewing it and putting a plain, straight one to get that one greased.

The front Ujoint on the 4010 (like a 2019E) at 660 hours and 9 years completely disentegrated. Traded for a very lemony 1025R and then back to a 2 series 2025R less than 2 years later.

Think I'm likely just going to trade for a Kubota in 3 or 4 years' time.

I wonder how hard it would be to remove the driveshaft lube it and put it back on?

I think that you will find that a needle fitting will be easier

I have a tough fitting on my Tundra front driveshaft and lubed it with a small angled swivel fitting. I had to use the smallest one as the other two, while not much bigger, didn't work.
