I just purchased my first riding mower, Cub Cadet LTX1040 from Home Depot. I called a local dealer to see if they had a mulch kit and the guy told me I should have never bought that model because the drive belts are known to break or fall off and he charges $135 to change them. Has anyone had any of these issues with their automatic Cub? I have not used the mower yet and want to make sure I have made the right choice.

I wouldn't worry about it. You'll be fine.

Unless you're prepared to double what you paid on a GT2xxxx with shaft drive, just mow more worry less.
