LT155 mower deck options: 48-inch?

I have an LT155 with a rusted out deck. The deck is rusted to the point where one of the pullies is out of alignment. The deck is a 38-inch. I found a 42-inch Freedom deck for $500 (it includes an LT155 tractor) so I can go that way. I also found several 48-inch decks from $150-$250 that should fit but I don't know if my old LT155 has the HP for something that size.

Has anyone tried a 48-inch deck on an LT155?

Jefburk, It depends (I think) on the size engine you have. Mine is 24Hp and runs a 48" deck perfectly easily. Good luck with your adaption. Greg

Hmmm, lemme see .... $250 for a deck of unknown compatibility. $500 for a deck with a free tractor attached.
