Lt 1046 cutting deck problem.

Hi All
I have owned my cubcadet LT1046 for about 2 weeks, Now the second time I go to mow with the deck set at 2" the pto for the blade kicks off. so I stop and reengage it and it works fine for about 20 feet than kicks off again. I am mowing on a completely flat lawn. No dips or anything.

Before this it worked perfectly never had any kind of a problem. I fact I love the tractor. Could It be a bad switch or something stupid that Im missing here. I did by it from a dealer and they are closed today. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem. If not it looks like to the dealer I will go.

Any help would be great.

I have a lt1042 and the mini-relay taped to the 20amp fuse was bad, with the PTO on, I would rap the relay with a finger and it would catch and stay on. It worked for me give it a try.

Did you wash the mower when done? Water will cause problem with the above mentioned relay. Located on right side next to battery. Fuse and relay are taped together. Have it replaced; if it acted up once, it will act up again and again.

Well Its not the relay we ( the dealer ) tried it, we ended up tracking it down to a bad plug end. Just mowed 3 hours and it works great!

Which plug end was it? I am sure it will happen to me.

Its the 2 prong plug in right down beside the starter. It was not pluged in all the way.

I had a similar problem. I have the 1050 which is only about 2 months old. I had washed down the mower after spending a couple hours cutting the yard. Proceeded to cut a small area that needed some trimming and accidently hit the reverse peddle thus diengaging the blade (as it should). After it disengaged I could not get the blade to turn back on. I'll check the two suggestions noted in the previous posts but any other ideas would be much appreciated.
