Ls same engine different hp ratings

I ask my Dealer about that and he said that if they had to replace the computer they had to furnish the S/N and then they get a program to flash that computer only , so a sneak upgrade through your dealer wont work and he said you cant pay for a upgrade hp boost front LS.
Im sure someone is going to have a work around this soon.

I have a 40 hp and my dealer said they could up the HP with their computer but he wouldn't do it because he wants to keep in good relationship with LS .

Do you know how they are different and if the air cleaner can be retro-fitted on a 40?

It's larger and yes it will fit. You would also need the air cleaner clamp and hose that goes from the air cleaner and airflow sensor.

I believe I have all that from my Boomer 40, but I'd have to double check. If you're interested send me a PM.
