TYM Dealer
Hi fellow members, I just joined up as a member and I posted an introduction as a new member. I was moved to join when I read that you,the consumer felt that the dealer network was lacking. I can say LS is a strong company. As a dealer, I have to say the company is great and they are growing very quickly and appreciate your business. Many good things are happening. We are doing well with this product, the quality and value sells the tractor. We have been representing LS for almost 2 years and prior to that we sold these tractors labelled under McCormick. We have very little problems with the product. As a dealer I want to give the best support I can. I can only support my customer properly when I have some one to turn to for answers. Nothing is perfect, but I can say that LS does there part to hold up there end of the bargin. My business is built on support and I need factory support like you need dealer support. Tomorrow, I will suggest to LS about updating their website. I had asked about the dealer locator, with giving only one dealer, the response was for the dealers territory protection. I disagree, we have areas in Pa when a close by zip code is entered that a dealer further away in NY shows up. I think it would be better to show 4 or 5 dealers, let the customer decide. Some locations are divided due to rivers or mountians and people usually stay in certian areas. LS should know that seeing more dealers on the locater shows more support and allows the customer to feel better about there investment.

Welcome!

Your positive attitude is exactly what I found with the three dealers I spoke to. I did find that if you use the advanced search on their website, you can input just the state, and get all the dealers in a particular state, so that's helpful.

While LS doesn't have a overly elaborate website, I think it does a pretty good job of getting info out there. They could maybe put a touch more in the way of details in the spec sheets (like making sure it lists pins vs 800mm when talking about lift capacities, etc), but they aren't missing much.

What's a thread without pictures? My R4047H from earlier today while moving tree sections over to the spot I'm stacking firewood for friends:

There are websites for grasshopper mowers that have all the parts diagrams online - sure is nice when you want to order a part. When people have something broken it's already a bad day, so why not make it easy for them to order a new part? Perhaps LS could do that also.

I agree that it is difficult to find some info on Manufacturers websites.

I was looking up specs of LS tractors, and couldn't find the (shipping) weight of the loaders on the website.

I eventually found the total weights on the RCO Texas dealer website. A lil head scratchin math, and I found the numbers.

Yes Welcome. I found my dealer to be very helpful when I was looking to buy. I must say I haven't really seen him in the last two years.

Loader weights are listed in the brochures (downloadable from the site). It is rather odd, they are missing from the site itself.

Welcome!! Glad you are here!! I must say my dealer was/is great! (RCO) I do wish I had a closer dealer for maintenance as I don't always have the time to do it myself and RCO is about 130 miles away from me.

Please tell us how to get these brochures that you say are downloadable from site . I just went back to the site (lstractorusa.com) and didn't find any links to download anything. I have been wondering how much my FEL weighs and cant find it any where.

Choose the model your interested in. At the bottom of the specs listing is a link thst says "click here for printer friendly specifications". That wil douwnload a pdf that matches the brochures the dealers have. Your loader Gary, is 1892 lbs. w/o the bucket.

Go to the page for whatever model you're interested in. It will have a section "Standard Equipment" with a list of bullet points (blue circles). Just below the last circle bullet, it will have the "click here for printer friendly specifications"....click that, and you'll open a .pdf with more specs.

Funny that I never opened that and just scrolled past it thinking that it would be the same as the rest of the info. NOW to figure out how much my loader bucket weighs and I can see if I am overloading my trailer. I think my estimate of 2500 for the loader is likely pretty close. 6700+or - a few pounds +1868+ 600 est. bucket weight puts me close and also pretty close to the 12K trailer GVW.

Why do you suppose they don't put the bucket weight in the FEL. Kinda hard to load something without a bucket. Should at least be a separate line item if they furnish more than one type. That is necessary info to have for transporting the equipment.

Just verifying a few figures. I think (without checking the title) that my 12 K rated car hauler lists weight at 2150#, so add, 6675 for tractor, 1892 for loader minus the bucket and 1211 for weight of water if I add ballast to the rear tires and makes 11,928# GVW which would work OK even if not perfectly distributed per trailer. Putting 500# of that on the truck would allow for any miscellaneous chain/binder weights and fuel so I might just skate by the scales if I came across any.

It's a pretty safe bet they are doing that because if you were to put pallet forks on instead of a bucket or a grapple, the weight would change significantly. This way you can figure out the total weight more accurately by adding the loader weight and the attachment weight.

When you buy ls parts do they say CNH or do the CNH say ls on them being that CNH uses them for their compact tractors? And are they different or is it just paint lights and grill that are different?
