I am looking to buy my first tractor and I have heard a lot about LS and I must say what I have heard has been good. I am not that knowledgeable about price and could use some advice.
First let me say that I could not find a dealer of any size close to me but I have found a stocking dealer about 200 miles away.
They have a package deal that includes.
G3038 (38 hp) LS Tractor w/ Front End Loader- 4WD - 5 ft Rotary Cutter - Dirt Dog Box Blade - Big Dawg 17 x 8 ft Trailer - 5 year Warranty
$ 21,995,00

This deal caught my attention because it included all the implements I was considering buying.

Any advice on if this would be considered a good price is appreciated.

That sounds like a pretty good Deal. :thumbsup: Transportation for it, Rotary cutter, Box Blade, FEL and a 5 year Warranty. Good price. Paid a little bit more for My 45 HP Kioti W FEL and no accessories or trailer...:drool:
Have you heard how he is on service after the sale?

I envy you your location. I do the rendezvous over in Yadkinville area in Oct. and I stop at Everything Attachments and drool over the stuff in the yard. Tavis has had me over at the other storage building also. Wish I had won the PowerBall lottery. I have also picked up some stuff from them since I was there. Got to see the first Wicked Grapple they built and the monster Back Blade. I will be there more as my sister lives in Gastonia and I can go down 321 to within a block and a half of her house.

Good luck and :welcome: To TBN

I'm not so sure on that price. Is that a gear, or HST 3038? A gear model runs around $16,500 around here, and that includes transportation costs from the distribution center in NC. I don't see $5,500 worth of trailer, rotary cuter and box blade there. You can get a trailer like that for under $2K, and it won't cost $3,500 to get a rotary cuter, and box blade. This is one of the reasons I don't like package deals.

mjrizzo ... also consider upgrading to the LS R3039. You'll get more capacity, more features, for a relatively small price jump. Nothing wrong with the G3038, but's more of a "budget" line vs the Rxxxx series.

Thanks everyone for your input. As a new comer to the tractor world the advice helped and had me digging deeper. GManBart you were correct when I dug deeper if I can get a 3038 for $16,500 and I priced out the other implements, it was not such a great deal. TSO you had ne digging deeper into what the differences between the G and R series where which was enlightening.
