low kickback vs full chisel chain

/ low kickback vs full chisel chain #31
If you can handle chains with out low kick back go for it.

It's all in experience of using a saw and also how you file your chain. If you file it aggressively it is going to be more grabby and can put you in a bad situation.

You have to know the environment around you as well. Pay attention when you are making a cut and where the saw would kick back to so you aren't in that area. It just takes knowing your equipment, running the process to use it through your head, and following those processes.

Then when you are ready start having fun, do a few plunge cuts with the tip or get yourself a 6.0 cube gear drive saw.

I can't stand that low kick back chain, helping people out they'll say oh I've got a saw here we can use. Uh huh. Box store purchase right? No I'll bring mine.

Once you get used to using a backstrap and plunge cutting the hinge so you have time to place and load wedges, you can't go back!
