Hi all, i have a 2002 New Holland TC35D. The Low/High range lever is loose, it will still shift but feels loose and sloppy. And NO, i am NOT talking about the electronic range shifter-It works fine. I am talking about the physical lever is loose. I have checked linkage and everything is tight, it looks like the shaft that comes out of the transmission is loose, but I don't see what would fix this or cause this. I have a service manual, but it mentions nothing about loose shifting or anything. The shaft has a decent amount of play in it. Any solutions or suggestions highly appreciated.

I have a MF1540 HST that had the same problem last year. Slowly got looser and looser and wouldn't stay in a range, or couldn't find neutral.
I looked all around it and could not see anything to fix, and there wasn't really much to look at.

had to take it to the dealer for something else and they fixed it in two seconds, but I don't know what they tightened.

so.....it should be something simple. Maybe stop by the dealer and have them show you on a tractor in their lot where the fix might be
