Sorry for your loss, thanks for sharing. Prayers and thoughts sent for you and your family. Lost my step dad (who raised me) 30 years ago and he is still right there when I am working on things, encouraging me to solve problems and not give up. If you can, capture some of the stories, your family will appreciate it in years to come.

Let us carry on in the manner they taught us, I strive to do so every day after my Dad left me 13 years ago this month. Though we miss them & they are not replaceable, take comfort that they are proud of us as we carry on.

I also am sorry for your loss. I'm betting you remember that last hug before you took him to the ER for the rest of your life. Trust me when I say this after dealing with my parents death, there are a lot worse ways to go. It sounds like his mind was sharp up until those last few days.
