I can understand your feelings. I had to put down Isaac a few years ago and still miss him. Like Gia, he was on every adventure with me. Best dog I will ever have.

I'm sorry for your loss :(

I know what is it like to lose a much loved pet. They become a part of the family.

Sorry to hear of your loss, it isn't easy and can't say it even gets better, but with time there will be another dog that will do her best to win you over.

We have a German wiredhaired pointer and he is just a great dog. Not a mean bone in his body and he will do anything to please.

Sorry for your loss!

Never easy when you lose your closest companion.

I'm sorry. We all know and dread the day that comes, but you will always remember her in a special way. Get a pup to raise, it will never replace Gia but it will love you and you will love it. That's what it is about. Invest in another relationship.

So sorry for your loss, I feel your pain. When I have lost my dogs it has really hurt.

I shot my german shorthair in a hunting accident. Won't ever end. I keep several pictures up on my shop wall along with his 'bird bell'. Just have to keep crawling along.
:ashamed:

I've heard Irish Setters have a special way of tugging on the ol' heart strings. My deepest sympathies.

Take care and be well.

So sorry for your loss. We had a corgi that grew up with the kids, passed away in my arms.

I know you don't want to hear it, but my advice, get another dog as soon as possible.

We went and picked out a border collie, about the same time we ended up with a golden retriever. All within 3 months of losing the corgi. Best thing that ever happened. Couldn't bear to get another corgi so soon, but we love the new dogs... That was almost three years ago, and both dogs worship the ground that I walk on. Quite humbling actually.

You can never replace the one you lost, but you can have a different friendship with another. It sure takes the hurt away.

Take care

Dean

Breaks my heart every time I hear this sort of news. Words can't describe the pain.

As Tom Hennesey says....You run along up ahead good girl. I'll catch up to you later.

So sad. Best wishes.

I am sure sorry for your loss. I know that it is hard because I too lost my best friend a few weeks back. She was a cocker spaniel of 12 years named Sandy. We got her as a pup for my wife but she took to me and apparently I took to her as well. Every day when I came home she was waiting at the door excited to see me.

I never thought that I could get that attached to an animal. I miss my dog but I am glad to have had her for the 12 years that I did.

May God bless you,
