Loose Tooth

Was using my CK20HST with Kioti Backhoe and noticed one of the Teeth on the Bucket was loose. I can wiggle the Tooth a little back and forth and it will pull away from the Bucket about 1/8" but no further. I can't see any type of anchor for it to tighten it down. What am I missing. I don't want to loose the Tooth.

Are you sure there isn't a pin through it from the side or top holding it over an "inner tooth".

Could you get a photo for us.

It it's attached with a roll pin or the like, it is normal for it to have some play.

On my CK35 they are just welded on I believe.

Possible broken weld?

I cleaned off the area around the loose Tooth, all I can see is an indent on either side of the Tooth, looks like it's been punched in. Don't see any kind of pin. The Bucket has 3 Teeth and I have never noticed any play on any till now. It's just the one that is loose, can't budge the other two.

Tie a string around the tooth and the other end to a door and slam the door.

I am thinking it is punched on as you indicated, my box blade lower teeth are the same way.

I would clean everything up. Remove bucket, lay on it's side and use a set and try to hammer the crimps back tight.

If you weld, could always tack on, with the understanding you'll have to grind the weld off when time to replace the tooth.

man, did you make me laugh! I like your idea about recrimping, looking it over carefully it sure looks crimped. still flub around on this computer thing, will TRY to put in a photo tomorrow.
