Sickle Bar Looking for a small sickle mower

Do either of you have any feedback on how these cheap sickle cutters work and hold up ? Just curious ? Might get one if I knew they were worth buying.

I have NEVER seen a good used one for less than $500. I bought a 7' mower for my Farmall 9 years ago for $350 and it needed ALLOT of new parts. I am sure I put another 100-150 bucks into it to get it right. I got another OK one for parts for $150. I used to use it all of the time to trim pastures, now it mostly sits.

It sounds like this may be a regonal thing. They are not very expensive here in good usable shape.

I alway replace the teeth on any use sickle, be it in a machine or a mower when i buy one.

Yes, they are the same items, but these prices on their web sites are prices of last year. They have not updated because neither of these two companies have these sickle bar mowers in their stocks. Maybe, Agri-Supply still has a unit or two.

I picked up an 7' IH 100 Balance mower this summer for $150. I replaced the sections and hold downs for good measure, it has worked great.

Nomad, I'd be interested to know how you know what CCI has in his stock?
If they're last years prices, then you don't know that the Agri Supply products are cheaper this year than last. I don't get you posting such an obvious hit against CCI except that you two have gone at it quite a few times.
The prices posted are cheaper at CCI, no question. John
