Looking for a multitasking utility trailer

This trailer my grandfather made eighty years ago, it sounds like what you need and may give an idea if you want to make one. It has a 30's Chevrolet straight axle. I made a box for front to carry chains, etc.
Today if you could find a small truck bed in junk yard, cut the frame off all you'd need is a hitch. It would already have lights.
I use this one a lot. I'm sure it's had over a ton of stuff on it.

Army trailer?

Solid metal sides would contain a ton of stone.

Self contain surge brakes.

Separate mechanical brakes helps on farm.

Lunette hitch for better off road articulation.

Sideboards and canvas enclosure option.

I dump with the tractor. Some folks modify to dump mechanically.

Tow nicely on the road. Handles a full load of mulch to top of sideboards. Brakes are important.

Cheap. $500 years ago with 4 sideboards and full enclosure canvas. No rust. Had to wire for lights.

HD 16” wheels.

Some models have aluminum beds and run flat tires.
OMG your B26 is so cute. I want one now!

Editing to add ... READ that one review carefully. Note the discrepancies about the rear gate and the gaps.
Read the review. Seems like it's not made all that well.

Well this is really the type of thing that I'm looking for, but I already have use of a traile r(not mine) I need to line with a tarp to keep the stone from leaking out of. This one would be better, I could probably use some EPDM to make flaps that would seal the corners. Will have to give it some thought.

Not to mention that they want $250 more from etrailer than what home depot has it listed for. I may go to home depot and see when they'd think they'd get them if I can even order one from them.

I was looking at something line this for my tractor https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200311375_200311375. But was hoping to get something I could use on the road behind a vehicle. I don't think I could register this one. The place I get the stone is about 4 miles away and I'm not really supposed to use my tractor off my own property.

but this is what I was thinking of

or a heavy tarp, on a dump trailer

I'd go with the HD one if buying new per OP's needs and specs. Size of the tractor matters, too. My 1.1L 2-range would haul that one empty in high and need to be in low with any load or on a slope. I'd expect 3-4 full scoops with the FEL to be quite a full load if not pushing it. Strips of carpet may suffice for gaps and not need attached. Consider a stall mat or DIY bedliner for the deck. Lots of ways to mechanize tilting with a full load, jack or winch & some bracket work.

Thanks for the input all. I am really thinking of getting the DK trailer that has been linked to, but the reviews I've read are concerning, everything from missing parts to issues getting it registered to how long it will last.

I really wish I could find some place in my area that has one of these things already put together so that I could look at the real thing. I hate making purchases like this online where I can't touch and see what it is I'm buying, but that seems to be what the world is coming to.

I hear your concern hube2. Going from Cat 1 to Cat 2 implements - I've learned patience. Waiting for the implement to arrive at the dealer. A couple dealers couldn't understand why I wanted Cat 2 implements - when a Cat 1 was sure to fit. I quit going to those dealers.

Be patient - keep looking. You will find the "pearls".

Like I suggsted on another one of these threads a few weeks ago, consider the Harbor Freight 1,750 lb unit. No deck, sides or back, but that allows you to build to your needs if you have the ability to do so. It's about $550, so lots of budget room for self design.

I would avoid any trailer with 12 inch wheels. One I had required 90 PSI for rated capacity. Potholes and off-road use were not friendly to the tires.

When I've made long distance trips, most of the trailers I've seen beside the freeway, with tire trouble, had 8 or 12 inch wheels.

Watch local Craig's List or "marketplace"... Find something close to you specs and modify it where needed to do any chores you ask of it....

In all you specs the only thing you probably want to find is one the can DUMP... It would be hardest thing to modify to meet you needs...
