I'm looking for a Made In USA pull behind leaf/lawn sweeper.

I don't get a lot of leaves, but would like to not do the "by hand" version of picking them up ... I've tried a leaf blower, and just blowing them with the Z-turn into a pile, the scooping and raking into the bucket ...

My chief snoopervisor unfortunately was killed by a rotten raccoon this past spring, I miss Barney!

Any suggestions?

48"+ preferred.

Dump from seat of my Z-turn preferred

To be clear, the DR ones connect to your mower discharge, so there is no "width restriction". The blower helps both extract better from the mower as well as chops up the material to make it more compact. Really great design.

Granted, they are not cheap compared to a "sweeper", but it's like comparing a Class 8 truck to a pickup (IYKYK, and you do).

I'm looking more of the tow behind brush style, I only have two trees like pictured above around the "lawn" area ... Then I can just hang it up in the barn for most of the year ... Barns quite full now with second tractor and mower ... Gotta work on racks to store some stuff up higher ...

Ah, so you're just "lazy"

We did have a Craftsman sweeper when we lived on Flamstead Road that worked quite well. However it was probably only 42" or so. Couldn't dump from the seat, but for just two trees, get off your butt and empty it!

FWIW, boat trailer winches and pulleys make great "hoists" to pull sprayers/sweepers/spreaders/etc up to the ceiling for more floor space.

I have forks and pallets, thinking of building a rack that my 20' trailer can go under, that I can stack some of my lighter attachments on, maybe another rack in the far back opposite corner too ...

Currently stack the rototiller and land plane on the trailer, but adds to the hassle of using the trailer!

I have since these pictures, added a 90" finish mower ...

I used to sweep my yard quite often. I purchased I think 3 Agri-Fag 42" lawn sweepers over the years. The first one lasted maybe 8 or 9 years. The second one maybe 2 years. The last one less than a year.

I used my Honda Big Red 3 wheeler to pull the sweeper. It was the 250CC with the five speed transmission. It would turn on a dime. It would take me 1hr and 45 minuters to mow the grass with my old tractor. I could sweep the lawn in 15 10 20 minutes. Now I was using 2nd and 3rd gear on the Honda. I would go so fast that the grass would fly over the sweeper sometimes.

The 2nd sweeper had either a plastic pinion and or a plastic ring gear, I cannot remember which. That's what failed on the # 2 sweeper. I thought that maybe I had abused it. So I bought another one. And it failed also in less that a year. Same problem, plastic. That was the end of sweeping the yard. I have since sold the Honda, 2017.

I thought about getting another sweeper and hooking it to my Gator, but not yet. I will wind row some of the grass and the wife and I rake the yard by hand when needed.

My 72" 7 Iron deck distributes the grass better than my old 60 inch deck.

That's all I can tell you about my lawn sweeping days.

In my limited online researching ... Argifab has a three years "manufacturers warranty" but limits wear items like bags, wheels, gears to 1 year ...

AllFitHD is made by Ohio Steel ... Which has a three year warranty, other than faded paint ...

So not really Made in USA! But better than china in my opinion!

Then there is:

There website says ...

So there is the possibility that this sweeper is actually made in USA ... I'be asked them to clarify about THIS sweeper, and what the gears are made of?

Has a more complicated "warranty"

Has anyone used either of these?
