tubzz- how big of your acreage do you have and intend to mow with? lots of trees? 54 or 60 inch deck are nice, I like the 60 better though. I can mow closer to curvy edge better. Regardless of what you get, the BX's are really nice machines to have and once you get one, you will get tractoritis BXitis :D:thumbsup:.

I went from a 54" deck, which I thought was great to a 60"; couldn't believe the difference in mowing time and trimming. My opinion only; 54" is good", 60" is better, of course if it will fit between stuff in your property.

my old craftsman 25hp lawnmower is on its last leg and cant get parts for it anymore. so i'm looking for new one. went by my dealer today to look at mowers, i rode the zd21 and the bx. i like the zero turn but not the thing for pulling wagons in the garden. anyway got a price of 11300 for a bx with turf tires and a 60" deck and no hydo value for a fel.(dont need it with a the B2620)

how do you guy like you BX for just mowering grass? and pulling a wagon around the yard?

I'm beginning to think everyone in the US has way to much money. Everyone wants a tractor instead of a riding lawn mower. You want two tractors! You already have a B2620. Now you want to replace an old 25hp Craftsman riding mower. Must be great salesman working the dealerships down there. I have not heard of anyone going shopping for a mower and actually returning with thoughts of purchasing just a mower. ;)

I did see that but honestly did not entirely understand the post. If your mowing grass, why are you pulling two trailers full of gravel from the creek, dirt, and wood? That sounds like tractor work and he has the B2620 for that. It might be due to his injury he does not want to remove/attach attachments so two ready to go tractors are needed. A BX2360/MMM will be a great lawn mower and yard trailer tow vehicle.

Maybe I am reading something into it that isn't there, but I thought he indicated a need for two tractors in part due to his disability. I too am disabled and my wife or one of my sons has to help me with all hookups.

If I didn't need to buy a new tractor, I would get a dedicated mower like a Kubota F3080 to supplement my tractors.

I have a BX2350. When I bought it I expected it would not cut the grass as well as a riding mower would. I was wrong, it is a great mower. It is not quit as tight turning, and it weighs more than a riding mower. As far as towing, they are rated at something like 1800lbs, but I have pulled my car trailer short distances with mine, and it weighs something like 2000 lbs.

If I were to pay someone $50 a week to cut my grass, 26 weeks out of the year, it's take about 8.5 years before it cost me $11,000. I'm just saying. $11,000 is a lot of money to spend on a lawn mower.

Lots of us do it because we like it not because it is cheaper.

I can certainly appreciate that. Personally, I'm not a big fan of cutting grass, so the less I can spend on it, the better. But, there are plenty of things where this isn't the case, and I'm right there with you.

Ray, I kind of had to laugh at that one as I am in the house while my wife is out on our BX2660 mowing the yard. Lawn mowing is in her genetics I think as her dad loved to mow and I don't discourage it. I use to do all of the mowing until she retired and I find myself doing less and less while I spend my time bush hogging, working in the woods, maintaining roads and such.

We priced an M8540 today to replace our CX80 and go with my L5030 and MF375. Now we both know how much work you could pay to have done for what one of those costs:confused:
