Looking at the 4530 with FEL, stoped by the local dealer and they handed me a flyer with the price of the 30 series tractors. Rock bottom price on the 4530 was $22,150.

The only price I could find on the internet was on this fourum and was less than $20,000. It was posted about a year ago if I remember correctly.

Would I be wrong to ask for a 6' box blade and a post hole digger for that price as a package deal.
I feel he was overpriced on the above implaments, he asked for around $900 on the box blade and $1200 on the post hole digger (both Mahindra brand).

I don't know if this is any help, but we just bought a 4025 with FEL, 6 ft brush hog, and hay spear for a little over 17000. This was in east Texas.

Price seems ok. I bought my 4530 4 years ago. Price was $19,400. With a loader.

Even though I was'nt going to buy it I was quoted a very simular price on a 4530(FEL) 2weeks ago in SW/Fla but I got my eyes set on larger displacement Mahindra.
There are no Mahindra brand box blades or PHD.
Those boxblades are made by Kodiak
KODIAK MFG., Inc.
The PHD I/we would have to see pics of it.
Your rite those prices are way off on those implements.Unless that PHD was a Danuser, big Landpride model, etc IMHO.

I did not actually see the implaments, only quoted the price by the salesman. But I did leave there with the impression that they were made by Mahindra. I will be stopping by that dealer again tomorrow for a test drive and to haggle over the price. I'll let you know how it goes. thanks for your input.

The implements may have a Mahindra branding, but they are made by Kodiak. $900 for a box blade and $1200 for a post hole digger are waaaay high.

Around $500 for a post hole digger with auger and $600 for a 6 foot box blade would be more in line.

Fracer,

For the heck of it for comparison pricing, check out my dealer here out west. He has it posted on his web site. HOME

OK I just returned form my local dealer and he is not lowering the price. $22,150 financed or $21,550 cash price.

Let me ask you guys another Question that my salesman was not able to answer. Is the rear remote valve and quick attach loader standard or is my dealer just ordering his tractors that way. This might account for the higher price.

As far as the implaments go, the box blade was made by kodiac for mahindra and looked identical to the same one I see at Tractor Supply, just a different color. I dont see it worth another $300 just for red paint.
The post hole digger was a different brand and cost $1500, Tractor supply has it for $600.

One negative I have about this tractor but not a deal breaker is how loud this thing is. Anyone tried to quiet it down with a different muffler. My 1964 JD 3020 is much quieter.

Fracer,
The loader is standard, unless specially ordered without a loader. The remote for this model seems to be optional. The Mahindra branded Kodiak implements are priced way high.
