I'm new, so be patient. Hope my pics post (they're in photo area). My son and I pulled it out of the weeds this weekend but not installed. You may be able to get an idea of the setup. I'll try to answer any questions you or others have about it. First photo is front end lift setup.

This is another view of front showing the lift arrangement. Those are my helpers boots.

This is the gear/chainbox. It also shows the stud that is bolted thru the drawbar. It hangs but is able to wiggle somewhat so nothing breaks when it lifts. It only lifts about 6", but thats enough to clear most things. If not it gets thrown out the chute (Tim Allen ARR ARR).

This is the hydraulic pivot stuff for the chute. The hydraulic hoses and valves are just laying on top of things right now. They mount to tractor (soon). I don't think you will need all the leaves and rust to make yours work. It's old, rusty and beat up (from previous owner) but I keep everything greased and lubed that needs it.

This is the inside of the gearbox. Not sure where to buy all this stuff.

This is back towards front. The channel frame gets wider here. Not sure of the channel size. Can measure it if you need it. The shaft is supported every few feet with permanent lubed bearings with bolt on flanges.

This one is an overall view to give an idea of the size. Can measure anything you need, just ask. My helper hopes we don't get snow too soon, this is going to take some time.

You have to reference point "A" and "B" on this photo and the next one to see how the frame attaches to the snowthrower. It still may not be clear. My helper has his wire brush in hand but isn't sure where to start.

Last pic. This one gives a vague idea of where point "A" and "B" attach. My helper is ready to prep her for paint. He should be done about the end of October.....2006. If you decide to try to put something together I can help with dimensions but not the parts. I don't know where you might find the gears and bearings.

Thanks for the photos! This is a pretty neat setup. You only showed one photo of the gear/chain box from the top. I'd love to see one from the rear, showing the relative sizes of the gears. Do you operate this thing at 540 rpm? I'm just curious about the rpm of the lower shaft and impeller.

Thanks gbirky. Look in the photo section under Skinman and there's a pic of the rear of the gearbox. It was 1:00 am our time last night (this morning) when I posted - forgot that photo. It's a 1:1 ration from PTO to driveshaft. I run it at 1000 RPM PTO. Had no instructions on how to use it - it came with my tractor. 540 RPM would barely get snow out of the chute - 1000 RPM throws a normal(?) snow about 15 ft. I hope to get pics of it installed soon, but it's going to be 60 deg. today - can't commit yet. Because of the gearbox, once it's on, nothing can be used on the 3 pt. lift. Hope to iron out that problem someday.

Thanks Skinman for the great pics. They have given me some ideas. I'm sure they will be helpful. Your blower is the same as mine, and I also found that it was to slow at 540 RPM. I'm hoping to add a front pto to my YM195D. Haven't decided yet if I will go with a mechanical drive or connect it to a hydraulic pump and run the blower with a hydraulic motor. Decisions, incisions, busy right now, won't get back to it until next week. Still have to paint the ugly old beast as well.
better get to it soon. The weather here is running from frost at night to highs of 50F in the daytime. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
