I don't but W.R. Long makes quality equipment.
Lol... I'm a WR Long fanboy, too but they don't make log winches!!!

To the OP, those scream cheap chineese... if your a weekend worrier, it might work but most likely (just guessing) it isn't going to last in heavy use.

Logging winch is on my "want" list... just haven't cross over to my "need" list yet!

That looks kinda similar in design to my Uniforest 35M. All the details are different though, so it's not a copy. Does it have an integrated cable brake? Does it have a drum brake so you don't unroll the cable into a birds nest inside the unit? The manual doesn't say how to operate it at all. It looks like the main clutch operation is by a lever right behind the unit. Standing there puts you right next to the spinning PTO shaft and behind the tractor's wheels. If the tractor moves under load it'll run you over. I'd recommend attaching a rope to that so you can stand off to the side. Ideally way off to the side.

Or better, buy a known quality unit. I'm as tempted to buy cheap stuff as anyone else but too often it winds up not being as good. A winch can kill you in a number of ways.

I really want the Wallenstein FX40 but man, they are pricey!

I have a Tajfun EGV45A and last year I paid $4800, but it's built extremely well. I had to go to my neighbor state of Idaho to find it.

I've always wondered at the point of log winches. Admittedly, I'm not doing this professionally, but I probably move more big hardwood in log form than any combination of three woodburners you've ever met. I have a winch mounted on my trailer, and skid the felled trees directly onto the trailer in 15 ft lengths. But when they're too deep in the woods to reach with the trailer, I just choker chain them tight to the drawbar on my 3 pt, and drive them out. A winch is painfully slow, compared to crawling with the tractor.
