While I look arround at many of these trees that are so rude as to fall in places that I don't want to chop them up, I'm thinking of a 3 point mounted hydraulic grapel, back up to the log, lower the 3 point, close jaws, raise 3 point, drag to convinent location, drop, return for more :D shouldn't be too hard with my spare hydraulic valve

Sounds like you want a swivel grapple.

Hey Napa,

There is a post in the Photo section with a couple pictures of what you're talking about. It looks like the best thing in the world!!! I'm not sure how a smaller tractor will handle the logs, or how big a log can be hauled with one, but it sure is interesting.

I only have a 35hp tractor, so it wont' work for me.

Good luck,
Eddie

I'll check the photos section when I can borrow some DSL  26k just dosn't cut it!

I'll draw some pictures of what I'm thinking of too, I'm not sure if I'm communicating it properly.

Hudson forest products would be a place you may need before you finish that project . they sell rotators and things for grapples
