You know I can't recall every disagreeing with MikePA before, but in this case, I don't see anything wrong with someone reviving that old thread.:D

Of course this is just a 2 year old picture, but no one has used a ball bat on my current mailbox.

The odd thing is that the brick pedestal (or whatever you want to call it) for mailboxes is fairly common in this general area, but mine is the only one on this street.

The poster that revived it said he was just reading through old posts and came across that one. That seems like fair warning to me, that the post was an old one.

Also, several folks in the power trac forum occasionally "bump" up posts to revive an old discussion when it seems relevant again.

I see no harm in leaving old threads open to come back another day.

It is no warning at all for those who just click on the main link.

BTW, the quasi official web term for the practice of reviving ancient threads is necroposting. :)
