I have a L275. The temp guage does not work, so I got a new
sensor. I have the factory manual, bought from Kubota, and either I
cannot read, or this is not in the manual. Can someone tell me, in a
basic way, were this is? (I have found 3 candidates, but they
definitely are NOT the sensor, or I was sold the wrong part by Kubota.

cheers!

I have a L355. Assuming the motors are generally the same the temp swithc is at the back right corner of the motor (as you sit on the tractor). I have attached a pic of the parts diagram. It is item number 018.

Good luck,

Mark

Check the old gauge, I'm thinking the L275 is an older tractor and maybe has a mechanical gauge. If the gauge has a thick wire permanantly attached to it then it's a mechanical gauge and it's all one piece. If it's small wires that screw on it's electrical.

If electrical then it's like mchild says, it's on the back right of the head, sticks out the top. It's a short brass thingy with a spade on top for the wire connection. I just added a temp gauge to my L2500
