loading front tire on 4wd

I bought a fill valve for loading tires from Napa. Terry

I think it was about 20 bucks and comes with everything you will need.

When I'm doing loader work it seems to want to push on the front tires sideways(I've almost rolled them off), even in 2wd with max psi. I don't turn in 4wd.

I'd guess you main problem is that you don't have 4wd engaged so the rears are trying to push the fronts when turning instead of the fronts pulling themselves through the turn. Engage the 4wd and your problem will likely go away. I don't know where you got the idea that you shouldn't turn in 4wd, a MFWD tractor that couldn't turn with the front engaged would be pretty useless. Now if you have a front differential lock and have it engaged then that's another story, you shouldn't turn with that engaged, but there's no problem turning with the 4wd engaged, that's what the front differential is for.

Put it in 4wd for the loader work and I'd bet most of you problem would go away.

It still pushes with MFWD on, it chews up the driveway a little more. I just figured, with all things equal there would be less wear and tear on the drivetrain. I was wondering if it may be due to the angles on the kingpins. Dad has a JD 6420 and the MFWD casters at an angle that makes it seem a bit more natural in the turns. Are most smaller tractors like ours with a vertical type kingpin?

Thanks to all the suggestions.

Do you have the rear diff lock on?

No, you can definitely tell when the differential lock is on. the biggest thing seems to be the starting angle on the wheels. They seem to be straight up or even angled slightly out on the top.
