I would like to convert the valve on my JD146 loader to a single handle "monoblock" unit. One handle for up and down and tilt of bucket. Northern tool has a valve for $200. was wondering if its that simple as changing valves? Hydrulic oil comes from tractor resivior rather than rear remotes.
Tim:rolleyes:

Yes, it is just that simple. You have 6 lines connected to your valve now, and so would the new one. But be aware that your older machine has a "closed center" system on it so you will need the proper valve and/or plug.

This valve from the Surplus Center 9-7401 is convertible to closed center, and they sell the plug for $18.95.

Is there a joystick kit available for your valve? The control valve on my loader can be set up as a single stick or twin stick.
